Business Case: make relevant operational development proposals (1 day)
In the workshop, you will learn how to structure decision proposals in a way that allows decision-makers to more easily evaluate them and assess their financial and other impacts.
One-day customized company-specific face-to-face, distance and multi-modal training, maximum 15 participants.
Training description
The goal of the coaching is to develop an operating model that you can use to structure, analyze, and refine your development idea, as well as document your idea so that its justifications are described in a straightforward and consistent manner. This is especially related to cost-benefit analyses and decision proposals (Business Cases) for investments, efforts, and various change proposals.
In the workshop you will receive practical tools for the following areas:
- You will build a practical model that you can naturally utilize in developing your own operations
- You will gain insight into when it is a good idea to include a Business Case in a development proposal.
- You will learn to structure the financial aspects of different action options, identify risk factors and ways to mitigate them.
A key need for decision makers is to see enough facts in the proposed decisions that are presented to them, which allows them to focus on the issue itself and make better decisions - often also speeds up the process. In addition to the substance of the decision (what is being done and why), the proposed decision should also include a Business Case with sufficient facts (what are the impacts, e.g. benefits, costs, risks, time, scope, hard and soft factors).
